Before taking Lamisil, tell your doctor or pharmacist about any allergies you may have, such as latex allergies.
Lamisil may increase the risk of a serious allergic reaction (allergic reactions). This is called a systemic reaction and is very rare. Tell your doctor if you have had any of the following symptoms, especially: hives, itching, swelling of your face, tongue, or throat, breathing problems, swelling of the feet, hands, or ankles, severe nausea or vomiting, severe diarrhea, rash, or itching. Stop taking Lamisil and call your doctor right away if you have any of the following symptoms: rash, fever, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, fever, chills, severe sun sensitivity, unusual weakness or fatigue, dizziness, loss of appetite, diarrhea, or loss of appetite. This is a very serious reaction and you should see your doctor immediately if you notice any of the following: skin rash, swollen lymph nodes, hair loss, unusual bruising or bleeding, unusual vaginal bleeding, unusual weight changes or weight loss.
It is very important to take Lamisil exactly as directed by your doctor. Your doctor will tell you exactly when to stop the medication and when to start the next dose. Do not stop taking Lamisil until you have discussed the risks and benefits with your doctor.
Lamisil can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and bring plenty of water right away. Do not use Lamisil for at least 4 weeks after you finish your course of treatment (see “What is the most important information I should know about Lamisil?”).
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not share Lamisil with others, even if they have the same symptoms as you. It can be dangerous to share your medicine with another person.
Lamisil may cause dizziness and make you feel tired. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that needs to be alert or controlled until you are sure you can perform these activities safely. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after use. Do not use the product for longer than recommended or use for a longer period than prescribed. Contains the active ingredient terbinafine hydrochloride.
The recommended dose is one Lamisil Once Film Forming Solution (250 mg/100 mg) taken on the same day each time. The dosage may be adjusted depending on the infection being treated.
For fungal skin infections (fungal infections of the face, neck, and throat), the recommended dose is one Lamisil Once Film Forming Solution (250 mg/100 mg) applied to the skin on the application site (face, neck, and throat), twice a day. The recommended dose for severe cases of fungal skin infections (fungal infections of the face, neck, and throat) may need to be adjusted depending on the type of fungal infection being treated.
If you are taking any other medications, including those obtained in lotions or sprays, apply the product to the skin on the application site for as long as it is administered by mouth.
